We were at Biofit 2017 in Strasbourg a few weeks ago and this edition has been a real success, with more than 1000 delegates from 30 countries ! We were very glad to present our new HAPIx platform and we have extended our partnerships on our core R&D programs !

We especially want to thank Eurasante for the invitation on its booth. An ideal place to present a virtual reality tour of our laboratories as you see on the picture ! IT was nice to be close to our collegues from Sencet, who work on the characterization of circulating tumor cells using Silicon Nanotweezer (SNT) technology.

We also would like to congratulate Vaxinano for the prize in the Start-up Slams ! If you want to discover this technology, visit the company website. There were many interesting conferences so it’s hard to select only some of them, but we particularly appreciated the panel lead by John Mack (from Pharma Marketing Blog) about collaboration between academic institution and spin-off.

If you want more details about the two days of Biofit 2017, look at these videos from Future Worlds (startup network from the University of Southampton), it’s really amazing !

Next year, Biofit 2018 will take place in Lille and, of course, we will be there… See you next year !

We were very happy to participate to Drug Discovery 2017 in Liverpool in the innovation zone. We have presented our new assays, especially our development in 3D culture and genotoxicity. In addition, visitors of our booth really enjoyed the 3D virtual reality visit of our new facilities in Lille !

We’d like to thank Molecular Devices to give us the opportunity to set up a user short meeting on their booth with Nathalie to talk about 3D cell imaging. Contacts were great ! Of course, we are ready to respond to your questions now, feel free to contact us !

Meet you next year in London !

I enjoyed to participate to this event hold in Stevenage at GSK, in a beautiful and impressive setting. The combination of uses of new technologies as high content imaging (HCA/HCS), imaging mass-spectrometry or imaging flow cytometry and new data analysis as machine learning and deep learning were presented in this event. These combinations show an extremely nice perspective in pharmaceutical research and in personalized medecine. I was really impressed by the quality of the presentations. James Pilling (Aztrazeneca) showed cardiotoxicity assay on 3D spheroid by using HCS technology. Emmanuel Gustin (Janssen) presented phenotypic screening by using phingerprints and machine learning. Rod Benson (Imagen Therapeutics) talked about precise and personnalised medecine for cancer by using HCS technologies.

All these emerging technologies and data analysis systems promise interesting discoveries in the near future.

This year again, we are very happy to participate in France Digital #StartupAssembly. This national action aims to help people to discover what is innovation “on the field” ! Over 1000 startups are open and France Digital waits for almost 10000 people.

If you want to meet us in Rennes november 15 ou november 16, you will be welcome ! Registration is avalaible on these links : november 15 / november 16

13th and 14th October 2016,  drug discovery 2016 was held in Liverpool, UK. We really enjoyed our venue at the 10th anniversary of ELRIG drug discovery symposium. Thanks to the ELRIG organisaters, we had the chance to present our activities in the innovation zone. A lot of exchanges were made about implementation of cellular high content assays across pharma, biotech, and academic research activities. We hope all these talks will lead to business and scientific collaborations.

High quality scientific presentations and posters made this symposium scientifically rewarding for drug discovery. Plennary sessions on translationnal and predictive models were very interesting. Advances in microstissues screening for drug prediction presented by Paul Walker highlight that 3D culture open a new area in high content analysis and  reinforces our choices in our R&D activities.

We would like to thank all the visitors who came to our booth, and we hope to meet you again next year !

If you are in Cosm’ing meeting, don’t hesitate to go and discuss with Julian BURSZTYKA, our COO. He presents our work in HCS Pharma by showing a poster on genotoxicity assay, developped in collaboration with Toxicology in vitro team of Galderma R&D and he will give a presentation at 9.15 am on the interest of using cell imaging for your R&D projects.

We were proud to co-organize the previous ELRIGfr event in Rennes. 140 people attented this meeting, which was rich in presentations and exchanges during workshops and round tables about automation and innovation. We had the opportunity to attend two of these workshops:

 – A first one on pipeting calibration for robotic platform. A lot of things need to be done to harmonize and/or standardise this calibration. That would for example be the implementation of a working group within ELRIGfr that would propose a specific regulation (as it was done for single-channel pipettors).

– We also attend to the workshop on Robotic Liquid Handling (RLH) during which Pascal SILVERSMET from GSK Vaccines exposed the interest in implementing a management software for robotic plateforms. A flexible model in the form of bricks with a web-based interface, enabling automatic machine-warnings in one hand (in order to facilitate the maintenance of the park) and the use of their platform by many teams in the other hand (a scheduling tool with different levels of accreditation), seemed to interest the assembly.

Speakers, as Jean-Philippe Stephan from Servier or Anselme Perrier from ISTEM, exposed us their use of innovative technology (HCS, IPS, …) in a really interesting manner in their company. It was really interesting to have their impression on all these new technologies.

All presentations are avalaible under this link

We also wanted to thank Mme Gaëlle ANDRO, vice-president of Rennes Métropole for her support and her talk of introduction during this event !

See you in Rennes !

As last year, we were present in Biofit. This congress is one of the best european place to be for B2B meetings. I had around 20 B to B meetings to discuss partnering and business, with biotech companies, other CROs and with public transfert technology societies as SATT in France or ErasmusMC in The Netherlands. That I can observe is that B2B meetings with pharmaceutical industries are increasingly turned to partnering around drugs already in clinical development rather than business around innovative projects. Nevertheless, it was a good place to discuss partnering with others CROs and biotech companies.

We will be attending BioFIT on 1st and 2nd of December 2015, placed in Strasbourg. BioFIT is one of the best european place to be for B to B meetings since more than 900 companies and 1300 people come to this congress to do business ! This year, five hosted events will be available : IDEA Summit, RESA, AFSSI’s conference, Biovalley Day and Biobanks.

Like last year, we will be present to find partners for R&D on innovative cellular models, 3D culture and bioprinting.

You can register by following this link. Come and meet us there to talk about innovation and partnering! See you in Strasbourg!

We will be present in Dijon the 7th and 8th July for “les universités d’été” organised by AFSSI, a series of round-table to understand the needs of technology entrepreneurs in life sciences, coupled with an international business convention bringing together key industry players. Come and meet us to this event! We will be happy to meet you to discuss on your needs and / or potential collaboration.
