HCS Pharma presentation

We were in Taiwan few weeks ago, invited by our partner Molecular Devices to talk about our skills in 3D cell culture, with our unique groundbreaking technology BIOMIMESYS® and our services for in vitro screening from cell assay development to picture and data analysis. It was also a perfect opportunity to meet our BIOMIMESYS®’s distributor Tokyo Future Style Taiwan, Inc. and his managing director, Joseph Chou.

On October 17th, we presented a keynote at the 8th annual Molecular Devices user meeting in Taiwan. It was really a pleasure to speak about possibilities of 3D cell culture including organ-specific microenvironnement with BIOMIMESYS® technology in asian countries.

Dr Chih-Li Lin presentation

All assays presented along this meeting were done on 2D cell culture, as Dr Chih-Li Lin who presented its work on the impact of diabetes and insulino-resistance on neurodegenerative diseases. The researchers wanted to use 3D culturt, but considered it difficult or too variable with the current existing technologies, therefore they preferred going on with 2D culture. BIOMIMESYS is a ready-to-use technology allowing easy and relevant assay development in 3D culture, including organ-specific ECM.

The next day, we spent the day with Joseph Chou, the head of Tokyo Future Style in Taiwan. Our day was very well organized between visits, relaxation and business. It has been confirmed to us that researchers in Asia are still using a lot of 2D cell culture, but were looking for easy-to-use solutions to develop new 3D culture models.

Great meeting with Joseph Chou, the head of Tokyo Future Style in Taiwan

Our first plates have been sent last week to Asia. We really want to thank our partner Molecular Devices for this invitation and Joseph from Tokyo Future Style Inc. for our new – and for sure fruitful – partnership!

Unfortunately, our trip in Asia was stopped earlier than planned, but we are looking forward to go to Japan next February!
