During the next Molecular Devices online event called “From organoids to cell painting: Investigate 3D and complex biology using advanced methods in high-content cellular imaging and analysis” we will present how to generate functional human liver organoids derived from hiPSC in BIOMIMESYS® hydroscaffold.

This virtual user meeting and workshop is fully dedicated to 3D biology and it will allow you to discover latest methods and technology to made real quantitative 3D assays. The full agenda is available here. As you know, in HCS Pharma we strongly believe that 3D (from biological models to images analysis) is the right way to fight complex diseases and improve dramatically drugs development. So we are honored to present our work at this meeting. We want to thanks all the Molecular Devices team for this invitation.

Dr. Méryl Roudaut (Study director in HCS Pharma) will be on stage Wednesday (March, 17) at 2PM (CET) to present this talk :

Title : Generation of functional human liver organoids derived from hiPSC with an innovative 3D Hyaluronic Acid (HA)-based hydroscaffold, BIOMIMESYS® – Towards an innovative tool for drug testing
Abstract : Human pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) provide a suitable model to study metabolic diseases upon hepatocyte-like cells (HLCs) differentiation. With a non-invasive approach, hiPSCs can be generated from urine samples of patients and HLCs have been used to model cholesterol metabolism regulation. This model provides promising advantages with a direct link to the patient and with an unlimited source of HLCs. However, because of the neonatal features of HLCs, this model still present limitations for pharmacological investigations.
In this webinar, we will talk about the development of liver organoids (LO) derived from hiPSCs by using an innovative 3D modified Hyaluronic Acid hydroscaffold, BIOMIMESYS® produces by HCS Pharma in a 96-well format to make it compatible for drug screening.
