Nanostem

We were glad to welcome Roberta Bilardo for a 2 month-secondment in HCS Pharma in the frame of Nanostem project (Developing NANOmaterials for neural STEM cells drug delivery). She is working as a Marie Curie Fellow Early Stage Researcher in Prof Resmini’s research group at the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences (Queen Mary University of London, UK). For Nanostem project, she works on the development and charaterization of hydrogel-based nanoparticles.

In the frame of her secondment, she studied the safety and internalization of her nanoformulations in brain cells in vitro, with the help of our PhD student Véronique De Conto and our technician Vaihere Cheung. This was the occasion for Roberta to learn cell culture and immunocytochemistry techniques, as well as automated fluorescence microscopy.

Thanks for your good mood in the lab, and for your work of course. Looking forward to seeing the results of your research!
