Vaihere Cheung obtained her technology A-level (STL) in 2018 at La Mennais, in French Polynesia. Then she came to metropolitan France to reach a technician diploma in Biological engineering, specialized in biological and biochemical analysis, at the University of Lyon.
During her studies, Vaihere did an internship in HCS Pharma to work on the development of cerebral in vitro models in three dimensions (3D) including the microenvironment, under the supervision of our PhD student Véronique De Conto: she has optimized protocols for immunostaining, neuronal differentiation and cerebral cell viability in BIOMIMESYS® Brain, our 3D cell culture technology that mimics the cerebral extracellular matrix.
Vaihere has now officially joined HCS-Pharma as a technician in cellular biology. She will keep working on cell culture for 3D in vitro model development. She will also take care of laboratory management (maintenance, stock management) and carry out quality controls of our BIOMIMESYS® products.
