Veronique obtained an engineering degree from the Toulouse agronomic school (ENSAT) in 2017, with a specialization in biotechnology at AgroParisTech. During her studies, she worked on the cholinergic receptors structure of the parasitic nematode Trichinella spiralis during a 3-month internship in the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (Anses). Then she did a 6-month internship in the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), where she studied the passage of therapeutic macromolecules through the Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) in vitro.

She’s recently joined us as a PhD student to develop a new in vitro neurological model derived from several cell types, including stem cells and primary cells. This model will be used to study the efficiency and the passage of therapeutic molecules through the BBB, in particular in context of neurodegenerative diseases. It will be miniaturized and automated for the phenotypic screening of molecules.
